A long time ago, in the city of Athens, there was a cruel law. According to this law, if a daughter refused to marry the person, her father had chosen for her then, she could be put to death. A girl called Hermia refused to marry the man her father had chosen for her. So, the father went to the King and asked him to punish Hermia.

The person whom Hermia’s father had chosen for her was called Demetrius. The King called Hermia and asked her, “Why have you refused to marry Demetrius?” Hermia said, “I have refused to marry Demetrius because he love my best friend, Helena. And I am in love with Lysander. I want to marry Lysander.”
